Someone once told me they only put products on their skin that they could eat. If you think about how your skin is one of the largest organs of your body, this TOTALLY makes sense. It got me to thinking, how hard would it to be to make your own body wash. I have already weaned my family and off of scents. In fact I find ‘perfume’ scents now that have been added to products, very overwhelming…I have also read studies where possibly it increases risk of cancer so why go there. I found the most easiest, amazing DIY body wash from Meghan Telpner blog and the kids and I have been using for the past few weeks and our skin feels AH-MAZING!
DIY Body Wash
- 1/3 cup castile soap (where to buy castile soap)
- 1/3 cup honey, preferably raw and local. I bought a giant jar from the farmers market for $7 and lasted all summer.
- 1/3 cup jojoba oil (or sub for olive oil)
Add all ingredients in a bowl and mix until thoroughly combined. Pour into a squeeze-top or pump-top container.
